🗓 Itinerary Overview
Day 1 – Tuesday: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport. A Holiday Tours representative will meet you and escort you through customs. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel for check-in. If time permits, unwind with a traditional dinner or evening walk. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 – Wednesday: Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum
Start your Egypt journey at the Giza Plateau. Explore the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and opt for a short camel ride along the desert. After lunch, visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), home to the treasures of Tutankhamun. If time allows, explore the Step Pyramid in Saqqara before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3 – Thursday: Fly to Aswan & Sunset Felucca
Morning flight to Aswan. Your guide will take you to see the ancient Unfinished Obelisk and the modern marvel of the High Dam. In the evening, enjoy a sunset felucca sail on the Nile — a peaceful highlight. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 4 – Friday: Abu Simbel Excursion
Leave early for a private trip to Abu Simbel — the iconic twin temples carved into rock on the edge of Lake Nasser. Return to Aswan in the afternoon for rest or optional evening activity. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 5 – Saturday: Travel to Luxor
Choose your preferred route:
Option A: First-class train from Aswan to Luxor
Option B: Private van with temple visits at Kom Ombo, Edfu, and possibly Esna
Arrive in Luxor and check in. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6 – Sunday: Luxor West Bank
Explore the West Bank: enter the tombs at Valley of the Kings, visit Queen Hatshepsut’s temple, and stand before the massive Colossi of Memnon. Optional lunch at a local farm. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 7 – Monday: Fly to Cairo, Transfer to Alexandria
Fly from Luxor to Cairo, and transfer directly to Alexandria. Optional sightseeing en route depending on your schedule. Check in and relax by the Mediterranean coast. Overnight in Alexandria.
Day 8 – Tuesday: Full-Day Alexandria Tour
Explore the best of Alexandria with your guide: the Roman Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, and (if open) the iconic Library of Alexandria. Return to Cairo in the evening. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 9 – Wednesday: Departure from Cairo
Private transfer to Cairo International Airport. Departure assistance provided. End of services.
