🗓 Itinerary
Day 1 – Sunday: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive in Cairo. Our team meets you at the airport and drives you privately to your hotel. Settle in, then enjoy a calm walk around Zamalek’s leafy streets. This island neighborhood has quiet cafés, art deco buildings, and a slower pace. Optional welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant like Abou El Sid. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 – Monday: Giza Pyramids, Saqqara & Memphis
Start with the Giza Plateau—Great Pyramid, Khafre, Menkaure, and the Sphinx. Take a short camel ride through the desert nearby. Then head to Saqqara to explore Egypt’s first pyramid. End the day in Memphis, the first capital of Ancient Egypt. Local lunch on the way. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3 – Tuesday: Grand Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo
Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum near the pyramids (if open), home to Tutankhamun’s full collection. Then walk through El Moez Street, lined with Islamic monuments and vibrant local life. Wrap up at Khan El Khalili Bazaar and enjoy a drink at El Fishawy Café, open since 1773. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 4 – Wednesday: Fly to Aswan, Temple Day
Morning flight to Aswan. Explore the peaceful Philae Temple, the Aswan High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk. These sites reflect both ancient artistry and modern ambition. Later, settle into a Nubian-style guesthouse by the Nile. Dinner on the riverbank. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 5 – Thursday: Nubian Islands & Drive to Luxor
Sail by felucca to two authentic Nubian villages colorful homes, quiet paths, and handmade crafts. Tea with locals. After lunch, drive to Luxor across the desert. It’s a long trip, but rich in scenery and rest stops. Arrive and check in. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6 – Friday: Valley of the Kings & More
Morning visit to the West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s temple, and the towering Colossi of Memnon. This is ancient Egypt in full. Return to your hotel for a break. Optional walk on the Corniche or local dinner in the evening. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 7 – Saturday: Karnak & Luxor Temples
Explore Karnak the biggest temple complex in Egypt and Luxor Temple, especially magical at dusk. These temples show the ambition of ancient pharaohs and the soul of Thebes. The rest of the day is yours: relax at the hotel, take a carriage ride, or visit local shops. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 8 – Sunday: Departure from Luxor
Final morning in Egypt. Relaxed breakfast, time to breathe, and private transfer to Luxor Airport. End of our services.
